The Scuola Politecnica di Design (SPD) in Milan, Italy, showcased the work of students in the MA Transportation Design course at an exhibition last month. The students created proposals for the Lamborghini, SEAT, and Volkswagen brands following a year-long collaboration with the Volkswagen Group. In all 10 thesis projects on the three different brands encompassing both exterior and interior design, physical and virtual modeling were shown.
The exhibition also saw designers from Audi, Lamborghini and SEAT in attendance. During a speech at the show on December 15th, Alessandro Dambrosio, Head of Interbrand Design at VW Konzern and supervisor of the collaborative project between SPD and Volkswagen, praised the work of the students and encouraged the young designers to build on their visions in their future career.
Together with Dambrosio and the other designers in attendance, Lamborghini design Director Filippo Perini and Klemens Rossnagel, head of design research at Audi AG, discussed the details of the concepts on show and engaged the students in question and answer sessions giving them useful suggestions and advice. Thanks to this collaboration, some of the MA students have already signed internship agreements at SEAT, Volkswagen and Audi.
