This is the first image of the Volkswagen Arteon — a sketch by senior exterior designer Tobias Sühlmann.
The sketch provides the first look at the carmaker’s new premium sedan, which was previewed by the Volkswagen Sport Coupé Concept GTE shown at the 2015 Geneva motor show.
The Arteon will become the company’s new halo car – slotting above the Passat in the model range and replacing the recently discontinued CC – when it launches at the 2017 Geneva show in March.
The video above shows Sühlmann sketching the Volkswagen Arteon at the company’s design center in Wolfsburg, with a cameo by VW Design Director Klaus Bischoff at the end.
